IT Equipment Sales Currently Available Laptops - 10 *Windows 10 only (Not Windows 11 compatible) Desktop - 18 *All computers come with a power cord Laptop Computers $40 each | Desktop Computers $30 each Limit 2 computers per person, cash or check only. Clark County Information Technology has used computer equipment for sale. These are being offered to the public at a reduced cost. You may purchase a laptop or desktop computer by completing the Used Computer Equipment Sales Agreement and mailing or delivering the form to the Clark County Clerk's Office. The purchaser must agree to the terms of service and acknowledge the following: All computers are sold without a hard drive. It is the buyer's responsibility to purchase a storage device and install an operating system. Clark County Information Technology will not provide support for these systems once purchased. Purchaser hereby certifies that equipment will be disposed of or recycled properly following local, State, or Federal laws as applicable. Disclaimer of Warranties. PRODUCT IS PURCHASED "AS IS". COMPUTERS HAVE BEEN TESTED AND DID HAVE AT LEAST MINIMAL FUNCTIONALITY PRIOR TO SALE. EQUIPMENT IS USED AND IS LIKELY TO HAVE DEFECTS. SELLER MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS, AND EXTENDS NO WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE EQUIPMENT OR THE USE OF THE EQUIPMENT UNDER THIS AGREEMENT. * All computers are in working condition upon point of sale; however, not all computers are capable of running Windows 11. What does "All computers are sold without a hard drive" mean? Due to regulations, all computer information storage devices must be destroyed when decommissioned. Imagine if a hacker was able to recover a wiped storage device with tax payer information on it. Therefore, these are sold without the device that runs an operating system like Windows. This means you will need to purchase a storage device and operating system separately. How much extra will it cost to buy a hard drive and operating system? The price of system storage and operating systems varies greatly depending on what you get and where you get it from. However, the low price of the equipment is meant to offset the cost and still give county residents a deal on a computer. To learn more, I suggest searching "Western Digital Blue SSD" and "Windows 11 Home." Clark County Used Computer Equipment Agreement
