ATV / UTV Recreation in Clark County Google Maps Please remember that only street legal motorcycles, driven by licensed drivers are allowed on the ATV/UTV trail system. Non-street legal motorcycles are not allowed on the ATV/UTV trail system and may only be ridden on the Knobby Ridge Motorcycle Trails. More than 135 miles of spring, summer, and fall ATV/UTV trails and routes wind and loop through the nearly 135,000 acre Clark County forest. Additional winter mileage is available, please refer to the map for more information (ATV only, UTV's are not allowed on the trail system during the winter). Convenient trail access is located throughout the county forest. Trail amenities include parking lots, loading ramps, day use areas, fuel, and food. In addition, our ATV trails offer access to five county campgrounds. Clark County is transiting to a new notification system. You will no longer need to check the website for up-to-date information. Adult Protective Services Adult protective services are set up to aid Elder Adults and Adults-at-Risk who have been abused, neglected, or exploited. Also provides services to keep elder adults safe in their homes. What is Elder Abuse Each year hundreds of thousands of older persons are abused, neglected, and exploited. Many victims are people who are older, frail, and vulnerable and cannot help themselves and depend on others to meet their most basic needs. Abusers of older adults are both women and men, and may be family members, friends, or “trusted others.” In general, elder abuse is a term referring to any knowing, intentional, or negligent act by a caregiver or any other person that causes harm or a serious risk of harm to a vulnerable adult. Types of Elder Abuse: Physical Abuse —inflicting physical pain or injury on a senior, e.g. slapping, bruising, or restraining by physical or chemical means. Sexual Abuse —non-consensual sexual contact of any kind. Neglect —the failure by those responsible to provide food, shelter, health care, or protection for a vulnerable elder. Exploitation —the illegal taking, misuse, or concealment of funds, property, or assets of a senior for someone else's benefit. Emotional Abuse —inflicting mental pain, anguish, or distress on an elder person through verbal or nonverbal acts, e.g. humiliating, intimidating, or threatening. Abandonment —desertion of a vulnerable elder by anyone who has assumed the responsibility for care or custody of that person. Self-neglect —characterized as the failure of a person to perform essential, self-care tasks and that such failure threatens his/her own health or safety. "Guardian" means a person appointed by a court under s. 54.10 to manage the income and assets and provide for the essential requirements for health and safety and the personal needs of an individual found incompetent or a spendthrift. Clark County Social Services is responsible is to assist with Guardianship, either through performing direct assistance with the completion and arranging Guardianships or directing to appropriate resources so it can be completed privately through an attorney. Protective Placement Chapter 55 - Designed to establish those protective services and protective placements, to assure their availability to all individuals when in need of them, and to place the least possible restriction on personal liberty and exercise of constitutional rights consistent with due process and protection from abuse, financial exploitation, neglect, and self-neglect. This may include Emergency Protective Placement or Emergency Protective Services. Clark County Social Services responsibility is to assist with Protective Placements, either through performing direct assistance with the completion and arranging of Protective Placements or directing to appropriate resources. Elder Abuse Funding Program Goals To provide direct services to victims of elder abuse, neglect, self-neglect and/or financial exploitation age 60 or older [per WI Stats. §46.90]. To reduce the incidence of elder abuse, neglect and/or financial exploitation through the provision of early intervention service(s) for individuals identified at risk of elder abuse, neglect and/or exploitation. What the Funds Can Be Used For? Funds may be used for a wide variety of purposes related to the provision of direct services and/or prevention programming for elder abuse victims or individuals identified at risk of elder abuse, neglect and/or financial exploitation. Note that self-neglect, as defined by WI Stats. § 46.90, includes a threshold of significant danger i.e., a significant danger to the elder must be present. Each treatment lasts 30-60 minutes (frequency and length of sessions vary depending upon your needs). You will meet with a team consisting of your nurse, social worker, therapist, dietian, and activity coordinator to determine your therapy goals and the anticipated length of stay. Upon returning home, your therapist will do a home walk-though to evaluate safety hazzards. They will make recommendations and provide you with resources to make your transition home safe and successful. Our patient rooms are all private rooms with a bathroom and walk-in shower. Enjoy easy access to outdoor courtyard, three-season porch, and living room areas. Choose from three balanced meals served daily or a menu with items that are always available. Health Programs & Services Click Headings for More Information Chil d Safety The Clark County Health Department (CCHD) provides a variety of different services to ensure the safety of your child, such as cribs, car seats, and everything in-between. Safe Sitter Safe Sitter® prepares students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn life-saving skills such as how to rescue someon e who’s choking, and helpful information like what to do if there’s severe weather. The less ons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use CPR manikins to practice choking rescue and CPR! Lactation Services The CCHD now has two staff trained as lactation consultants. We are offering one on one consults with clients and will be hosting parent classes in Abbotsford. We can also host new parent classes upon request! Parents will receive a lactation goody bag after meeting with lactation consultants. Communicable Diseases The CCHD responds to multiple communicable diseases, such as COVID-19, Monkeypox, tuberculosis, hepatitis, etc. Emergency Preparedness The CCHD wants to ensure that you are informed and prepared for public health emergencies within Clark County. To help prepare, the CCHD belongs to the Western Wisconsin Public Health Readiness Consortium (WWPHRC). Summary A brief description of matters customarily handled by the district attorney's office would include the following: Prosecute all criminal matters, including but not limited to burglary, theft, sexual assault, worthless checks, obstructing officers, forgery, criminal nonsupport, welfare fraud, disorderly conduct, battery, criminal damage, negligent homicide, and the possession, distribution, or otherwise prohibited acts with respect to drugs. Prosecute state forfeitures such as failure to abide by weatherization stipulations, certain wage claims, violations of Department of Agriculture regulations, open meeting law violations, and so on. As a somewhat separate category, we also process all juvenile delinquency proceedings with respect to criminal activity and truancies. Traffic matters such as speeding, as well as traffic crimes such as operating while under the influence of an intoxicant, operating without a valid driver’s license, causing the death of a human being while operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, and so on. Our office does not handle traffic matters which are not criminal that occur in the various cities within the county, that is done by city attorneys.
