Food Safety

The Environmental Health Sanitarian is responsible for the licensing and inspection of all restaurants, hotels, tourist rooming houses, bed and breakfast establishments, vending machine operations, campgrounds, recreational-educational camps, temporary food establishments, and public swimming pools within the county.  All public facilities previously listed must obtain a license before opening for business.  Each facility is inspected annually to insure that proper health and safety standards and state codes are being followed.
