Childhood Screenings

 

The Health Department offers Blood Lead Screenings as well as resources for children with special health care needs.

School-based

The Health Department works closely with the school districts in Clark County. Services provided include: 
 

  • vision and hearing screening and referrals

  • communicable disease surveillance and consultation

  • blood pressure checks

  • education regarding puberty, STIs and contraception

  • promoting the importance of proper nutrition and physical activity

  • dental care

  • various other topics.

Our Nurses also provide services to the many Amish and Mennonite schools throughout the county. Immunization clinics are hosted by some of these schools schools and take place every other month.
