Mission Statement 
It is the mission of the Maintenance Department to keep the courthouse building maintained as well as possible. The responsibility of the Maintenance Department is to oversee and maintain the building and grounds of the Clark County Courthouse and law enforcement area.

Duties Include:

  • Care of the plumbing, electrical, and security equipment to make sure it is repaired and operating properly

  • Daily cleaning of all offices, such as emptying wastebaskets, mopping and waxing floors, and cleaning windows

  • Ensuring that the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment is kept operating properly

  • Lawn mowing, yard work, and snow removal

  • Vacuuming of the carpeted areas

The building is approximately 140,000 square feet, including the jail. We maintain about three and a half city blocks as for parking lots, lawn mowing, and yard work.
